The new EU regulatory framework for the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) is due to enter into force in april 2007.
Manufacturers and importers will be required to gather information on the properties of their chemicals and compounds and their downstream use and to register the information with the central EU authority.
